The LORD is king! Let the earth rejoice; let the many coastlands be glad! Clouds and thick darkness are all around him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne. Fire goes before him, and consumes his adversaries on every side. His lightnings light up the world; the earth sees and trembles. The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of all the earth. ~ Psalm 97:1 - 5 Each morning as I prepare to write I take time to read and pray about what to share. Over the years I have discovered that words are important. Without words, our actions lose meaning. And without meaning, our ability to truly live our lives becomes nearly impossible. Words can offer perspective, insight, understanding and vision. Our words can bring consolation, comfort, encouragement and hope. Words can take away fear, isolation, shame, and guilt. Our words can reconcile, unite, forgive, and heal. Our words can bring peace and joy, inner freedom deep gratitude. Our words can be be the greatest act of love. That is because when our words become flesh in our own lives and the lives of others, we can change the world. Scripture reminds us Jesus was the word made flesh. In him speaking and acting were one. Thus our words help others to see the living Christ in the world. Hoping that your day is filled with words of hope, faith and love for the world to know and see. Stay in God's grip! G. Todd Williams (c) 2017 Dear Lord, help me to chose words that help others see the living Christ in the world. Amen. Comments are closed.
